A B Movie science fiction film, Attack of the Giant Leeches, also released as Attack of the Blood Leeches, Demons of the Swamp, She Demons of the Swamp and The Giant Leeches (is that enough titles??), is a surprisingly entertaining yet typical 1950s cold-war movie; an exploitation of the fear that radiation can mutate animals in horrific ways.

In a small town in the Florida Everglades, the local vixen Liz Walker (Yvette Vickers) and her adulterer disappear, apparently killed by Walker's husband and then left to be eaten by alligators. After game warden (and bad actor) Steve Benton (Ken Clark) embarks on a 'gator hunt along with his girlfriend Nan Grayson (Jan Sheppard) and her father, the dynamite-wielding Doc Grayson (Tyler McVey), more local people disappear and the chances of the mysterious swamp assailants being nothing but apparently cave-digging alligators and instead turning out to be giant mutant leeches increases dramatically.
