Pete Murphy’s life has changed since his separation from his wife, Sarah. He has a new fiancée, a new home in the tropics, and plans to start a new family. However, before any of this can happen, Pete must first finalise his divorce.
When he asks Sarah to sign the papers that will put an end to their marriage, she agrees, but on one condition—Pete must first reconcile with his two daughters. In an attempt to patch things up and move on with his life, Pete returns home during the holidays while his fiancée heads to the Caribbean. As he re-enters the lives of the family he left behind, Pete begins to realise his life isn’t the only one that has changed. His wife is dating his former best friend, and his youngest daughter is pregnant--she’s a surrogate mother for her infertile sister’s baby.
While spending the holidays with his wife and daughters, old feelings are rekindled. Pete finds himself torn between his new enticing life and the warmth of his family. Sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s almost gone.
